From 1964 through 1968, Robert Laessig of the American Greeting Card Company created a series of watercolor paintings for use on the Johnson White House Christmas cards and gift prints. The scenes usually featured exterior views of the White House at different seasons of the year. Most years the same scene also appeared on the standard-sized Christmas cards.
